looking back ... 2001

In 2001, the Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung participates for the first time in the financing and staging of the (now) two-day co-development meeting. pool production GmbH of Cottbus takes over the organisation of the event.

The forum takes form: in 2001, 70 delegates attend the forum which focuses on the presentation of financing possibilities for international coproductions, support programes such as the Nipkow Programme in Berlin, and partners supporting production such as the Film Commission of Berlin-Brandenburg.

In  “European Networking“, directors, authors and producers discuss different mentalities, standards and working methods in the development and production of international film projects. For the first time, a jury selects film ideas from over twenty East-European and German submitted projects to be pitched by their producers and authors to an audience of professionals.
