looking back ... 2006

focussed on Bulgaria and Romania

This year, the organizers, financers and cooperation partners of Connecting Cottbus invited all interested participants to the market forum for the film industry under the auspices of the Cottbus Film Festival from 16th to 17th November. Once again, producers, editors and directors met in the Lindner Congress Hotel in Cottbus to spend time during the project pitch in discussions on case studies and broadcaster presentations or in various work discussions at the edge of the event to address the possibilities for plot development. The special perspective of the forum this time was focussed on Bulgaria and Romania. Producers from these countries in particular pitched their projects. In addition, all interested producers from Eastern, Central or Western Europe, not forgetting Germany, could again submit their projects for pitching.

The jury for the pitching session at Connecting Cottbus met on September 9, 2006 in Potsdam. The jury was made up on representatives of the Medienboard Berlin–Brandenburg, the Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung (MDM), the television channel Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg (RBB) and Mitteldeutscher Rundfunke (MDR), the Nipkow Programme Berlin, the MEDIA Antenna Berlin-Brandenburg and Connecting Cottbus.
