The Festival‘s film industry forum goes on the move! The new Holiday Inn Conference Hotel offers excellent conditions for the 100 accredited participants of the two-day conference.

In addition to pitching sessions for projects from Eastern Europe and Germany, the film industry forum runs for an extra day because of the new CoCo Special. For the first time, Connecting Cottbus reflects the Filmfestival‘s thematic focus: in cooperation with the Polish producers‘ union, KIPA, the new event succeeds in initiating collaborations between German and Polish filmmakers.

In 2002, the Filmboard Berlin-Brandenburg and the Mitteldeutsche Medienförderung come together for the first time to host a reception whose convivial atmosphere offers the best conditions for the forum‘s declared goal: to create networks! Producers and financiers make use of the occasion to hold private conversations and start the dealmaking process.
