connecting cottbus

artwork 2017

The coco artwork in 2017 has four different visual motives, all very close connected with the city Cottbus:

1. With the Cottbus lake pyramid Prince Pückler designed one of this country most unusual burial grounds, where he was buried himself in 1871.
2. Prince Pückler created “Schloss Branitz” and the beautiful park around in Cottbus as his outstanding late work, after being a famous writer, visionary, landscape designer, and world traveler in the 19th century.
3. The red crayfish is since 1307 til today a central crest motif of the city Cottbus.
4. The “Spremberger Turm” is one of the landmarks of Cottbus, from the viewing platform at 28m height it offers a great view over the old town and surroundings.
